Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to play a key mentor role to young people living in out of home care in the Northern Region.

The successful applicant will support young people by modelling a share/house mate model, assisting them to learn how to negotiate the shared living space, chores etc. They will act as a positive role model, engaged in education/training/employment and demonstrate independent living skills such as cooking, household shopping, cleaning and gardening.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage the day-to-day running of the household.
  2. Act as a positive role model and foster mutually supportive relationships with young people.
  3. Demonstrate and educate young people on basic housekeeping, cooking and budget management.
  4. Communicate effectively with young people and other stakeholders.
