Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Employment Consultant to join our team at The Salvation Army Employment Plus (EPlus). As an Employment Consultant, you will play a critical role in helping job seekers overcome barriers to employment and transition into sustainable work.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a high-volume caseload of job seekers and actively engaging with 'work ready' job seekers to secure sustainable employment outcomes.
  • Clearly identifying and addressing barriers preventing job seekers from being job ready and providing participants with the tools and confidence to enter the workforce.
  • Applying strong problem-solving skills and resilience to maximise employment outcomes and driving high performance with a forward-thinking, results-driven culture.

You will be working closely with participants in the Workforce Australia program, assisting them to overcome barriers to employment and successfully transition into the workforce.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to think on your feet and adapt to challenging situations and an ever-changing environment.
  • A confident and trustworthy self-starter who thrives on the opportunity to achieve meaningful results and problem solve, with demonstrated experience in achieving and exceeding business KPI's and targets.
  • Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office, as well as a willingness to learn and develop new skills.

Location

This role is based at our Queanbeyan site, however, you may be required to travel to other locations as part of your duties.

Salary

The salary for this role is $65,000 - $75,000 per annum, plus superannuation and generous salary packaging benefits.
