Job Title: Pharmacy Sales Assistant

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Pharmacy Sales Assistant. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service to customers, including greeting and serving customers, addressing a range of customer service enquiries and routine customer problems.
  • Financial Transactions: Undertake all correct procedures when processing cash, cheque or credit card transactions.
  • In-Store Promotions: Maintain awareness of and promote in-store promotions and where possible generate customer interest.
  • Supply of Medicines: Assist in the supply of Pharmacy and Pharmacist Only Medicines within the pharmacy by using the required questioning protocols, referring the customer to the pharmacist if required and providing pharmacy medicines, health care information and self-care practices where trained.
  • Cleanliness and Stock Management: Assist in maintaining a clean and tidy appearance in the pharmacy, conveying an image appropriate to pharmacy and assisting in maintaining stock presentation, including cleaning and shelf labelling.
  • Stock Control: Order, receive and handle stock, including accepting and checking of stock, storage and handling processes, re-stocking pharmacy shelves and presentation of stock in the pharmacy as directed.
  • Compliance: Complete all necessary stock takes and comply with procedures to meet occupational health and safety requirements, report potential breaches of the above to the pharmacy manager and follow infection control guidelines and use safe and hygienic practices to control and minimise the cross transmission of infection in the pharmacy.
  • Team Player: Conduct themselves in a manner which reflects honesty, loyalty and integrity whereby their expertise in the pharmacy profession is enhanced.
  • Training and Development: Attend and participate in training sessions as directed and attend and participate in meetings with staff and management as required.

Requirements: Excellent communication skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment and passion for delivering high-quality customer service. A full driver's licence is also required.
