Senior Primary Health Care Manager

Job Summary
Miwatj Health Aboriginal Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Primary Health Care Manager to lead our multidisciplinary team in providing comprehensive primary and population health care services to the Yolngu community. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Aboriginal Community Control and self-determination, as well as experience working in remote or regional communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and management to the PHC team, ensuring cultural integrity and high standards of clinical care and client flow.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery and cohesion among the team.
- Ensure the clinic operates in a safe and efficient way, adhering to relevant legislation, guidelines, safety and quality standards.
- Manage the allocated budget and deliver upon Medicare requirements.
- Participate in clinical patient care in peak periods of demand.
Requirements
- Eligible for registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a registered nurse with a minimum of 2 years' experience working in a remote or regional community.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with people from a diverse culture.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of indigenous culture and social determinants of health.
- Current manual NT driver's license and current Remote Emergency Care course and/or Advanced life support.
