Production Operations Manager

About the Role:
- We are seeking an experienced Production Operations Manager to lead our production team and drive business success in safety, environment, cost, and equipment performance.
- The successful candidate will effectively oversee the operation of the mine, leading the Production team to meet strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Shift Undermanagers and Engineering Coordinators to support the safe and efficient implementation of the mine plan.
- Review compliance with the daily plan and ensure corrective actions have taken place.
- Liaise with other Superintendents to achieve operational targets.
- Provide input into the annual budgeting process.
- Organize regular Production team meetings.
- Develop effective Communication strategies for the Production team.
- Establish clear boundaries of responsibility and accountability for all team members.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Underground Coal Mining Management or related field.
- Current Practising Certificate.
- 10+ years management experience in the mining industry or similar.
- Risk Management qualifications (G2/G3).
- ICAM basics - Accident/Incident Investigation.
- Certificate IV Leadership & Management.
- Strong understanding of mine safety and environmental systems.
- Sound computer literacy skills and geological / geotechnical knowledge.
- Excellent work ethic and attendance record.
- Commitment to site safety and operational practices.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal suited to multiple audiences.
