Deputy Coach Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic leader to partner with our Head Coach in leading a passionate team at our soon-to-open Highpoint store.

The Deputy Coach will be a key support to the Head Coach, creating the best experience for our community. Leading with our values, this role will develop and inspire a team from the get-go with a new store opening.

This exciting opportunity combines retail and fitness expertise. You will work alongside the Head Coach to bring events localized to your store to life, while managing the business.

We connect with our local community through regular training sessions. If you live and breathe fitness, this is an ideal role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences
  • Develop and execute strategic quarterly community plans that drive growth and advocacy
  • Organize and facilitate in-store events to add value to the community and drive visitation
  • Lead events at local gyms and studios to support local businesses and grow awareness
  • Build relationships with local partners who align with our values
  • Galvanise the team around building relationships in the community

Team Development:

  • Ensure team members have product knowledge to educate customers on our range
  • Identify learning opportunities and deliver live coaching
  • Support onboarding of new team members and provide ongoing development
  • Create an inclusive environment that celebrates differences
  • Recruit and build a world-class team that shares our values
  • Develop team members through identifying capabilities and potential
  • Celebrate and recognise team growth and successes

Operational Excellence:

  • Create daily game plans to inspire and engage the team
  • Complete stock and visual merchandising tasks efficiently
  • Ensure accurate and efficient completion of faulty product returns and pullbacks
  • Maintain a clean and tidy store, ensuring inventory has an intentional home
  • Review and understand store KPIs to drive performance improvement
