Established in the vibrant community of Charters Towers, Columba Catholic College is seeking a dedicated Secondary Teacher to join its team. This full-time, permanent position will commence in January 2025, with opportunities to teach Business and Humanities subjects.

About the Role

This rewarding role requires an individual with knowledge of and commitment to the Catholic ethos and mission of the school. As a member of the professional teaching team, you will collaborate with colleagues to provide quality education and learning experiences for students. To succeed in this position, you must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with parents and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach a range of Business and Humanities subjects to secondary students.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to ensure student success.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification with registration or eligibility for registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
  • Current driver's license and the ability to travel occasionally within the Catholic Diocese of Townsville.
  • Strong physical health and the ability to perform the requirements of the role safely.
