Main Responsibilities

Maintenance Planning & Scheduling: Developing and implementing maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance.

Budget Management: Monitoring and controlling repair and maintenance (R&M) costs to ensure efficient use of resources.

Preventative Maintenance: Executing planned and preventative maintenance activities to minimise downtime and maximise equipment availability.

Process Improvement: Reviewing current practices and introducing improvements to enhance overall efficiency and productivity.

Minimising Downtime: Ensuring equipment is available and operating efficiently to reduce production delays.

Compliance Coordination: Collaborating with the Quarry Manager to ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and contractual standards.

Team Leadership: Managing and supervising a team of maintenance employees and contractors to achieve shared goals.

Safety Oversight: Ensuring work permits are issued and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) are developed for all tasks to maintain a safe working environment.

Documentation: Maintaining detailed records, processes, and procedures for all plant and equipment maintenance to ensure transparency and accountability.

Quality Assurance: Evaluating and upholding the quality of work performed by site maintenance personnel to meet high standards.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in maintenance supervision and planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage teams and ensure health and safety compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Relevant trade qualifications in an engineering or maintenance-related field (highly desirable).
  • Certificate IV in surface extraction (desirable, not essential).
