As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and direction within the healthcare domain, coupled with the capacity to build and lead high-performance teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide program management and operational support for governance groups, ensuring efficient coordination of projects within tight deadlines;">
  • Identify best practice virtual models of care and facilitate their state-wide scale and spread;">
  • Offer expert advice and decision-making to senior stakeholders on complex organizational issues;">
  • BUILDING POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS ACROSS THE HEALTH SECTOR IS CRUCIAL, REQUIRING EFFECTIVE PEOPLE SKILLS, CONSULTATION, PRESENTATION, NEGOTIATION, AND INFLUENCE;">
  • Play a key role in resource management, overseeing team development, contributing to department budget development, and ensuring efficient budget allocation;">
  • Manage subordinate staff's performance appraisal and development;">

Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful person will possess advanced communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for effective engagement with stakeholders across all levels. This includes the ability to negotiate, establish relationships, influence stakeholders, and oversee staff within the healthcare portfolio.

Demonstrated expertise in crafting and reviewing intricate reports, submissions, briefing notes, agenda papers, and other communications tailored for executive-level and ministerial stakeholders is also essential.

A proven track record of experience in navigating challenging and dynamic operating landscapes of the healthcare sector, leading, managing, and successfully implementing complex state-wide clinical projects using quality improvement and redesign methodologies is required.
