About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer who is passionate about data, committed to delivering value, and invested in continuous learning. The ideal candidate will have:

  • 6+ years' experience with data engineering tools, including Microsoft ADF, AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, Fivetran, DBT, Talend, Informatica, and other ELT/ETL tools.
  • 6+ years' experience with data warehousing platforms, including AWS Redshift, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.
  • 6+ years' proficiency in coding with Python, R, or similar.
  • 6+ years' experience in SQL coding.
  • 6+ years' experience in using cloud platforms, including Azure, Snowflake, AWS, and GCP, as well as Kubernetes, Docker, and similar.
  • Extensive experience with data warehousing methodologies, including Ralph Kimball or data vault.
  • Understanding of data modeling and database design principles.
  • Ability to interpret technical requirements and translate them into technical solutions and architectures.
  • Extensive experience in IoT architectures and ETL/ELT frameworks.
  • Extensive experience in deploying production-ready data pipelines.
  • Broad understanding of CI/CD practices in Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Experience of data quality and data governance processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  • 6+ years' business or consulting experience.
  • Ability to think outside the box.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to manage conflicting priorities.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to lead and manage engagements through to the delivery of business value.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Minimum of a tertiary degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, science, engineering, or technology (advanced degree preferred).
