Operations Manager

At our Opal Fibre Packaging site in Athol Park, SA, we are seeking an experienced Operations Leader to manage the Day Shift.

This role is critical to ensuring production targets are met for the day shift through effective support and direction. The successful candidate will:

  • Drive a sustainable operation with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Deliver all safety, quality, and production targets in accordance with quality standards
  • Foster a supportive environment for the team, promoting engagement, inclusivity, and respect

The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, excellent negotiation and influencing skills, and a commitment to developing a 'no injuries' culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Day Shift
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in operations management
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
