Cableway Technician

Cableway operators play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our infrastructure. The position requires an individual with exceptional mechanical skills and knowledge of operational procedures.

• Responsibilities include maintenance of all aspects of the cableway infrastructure, ensuring safe operations, and performing routine checks on equipment.
• Undertake training programs to become a competent cableway operator and obtain relevant qualifications such as working at heights, height rescue, medical, first aid, CPR, and RF awareness certifications.
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of passengers by providing clear instructions and direction during emergency situations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing operational duties, maintenance, fault investigation, and repair of control and drive systems.
• Completing regular inspections and reporting any issues or damage detected in the tracking log.
• Ensuring adherence to pre-operational checks and processes for cableway operation.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Mechanical skills enabling maintenance works on various components of the cableway.
• Working knowledge of O&M Procedures and Work Instructions pertaining to operational use.
• Rigging qualification with experience holding a High Risk Licence in Basic, Intermediate, or Advanced Rigging.
• Comfortable working at heights and holding Working at Heights/Tower Rescue and/or Cable Car Evacuation certificates.
