Head of Design Management

As a seasoned design management professional, you will play a pivotal role in delivering world-leading sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets. You will be part of a global business comprising 36,000 people, operating in over 70 countries, dedicated to improving quality of life.
With your expertise and experience, you will provide sound and effective leadership by providing direction and technical advice, leading by example and championing a quality culture. You will effectively implement project delivery best practices in risk and change management, planning, project set-up, common data environments (including BIM and doc control).

- Effectively implement project delivery best practice in risk and change management, planning, project set-up, common data environments (including BIM and doc control);
- Ensure effective financial and project management controls are in place and deployed to enable monitoring, modification and forecasting as appropriate;
- Work to ensure maximum client satisfaction, championing client care and proactively working with the client;
- Drive project performance, service delivery and technical and commercial outcomes and undertake reviews, ensuring client delivery is above expectation;
- Seek/pursue design opportunities, and prepare bids and tender submissions;
Requirements
For this role, we require a relevant engineering degree with Chartered status or equivalent professional accreditation. You must be confident in leading multidisciplinary design teams for rail and/or road projects within a design and engineering consultancy environment. Demonstrated experience delivering complex highway infrastructure projects is essential. Additionally, you should possess well-developed technical and commercial skills, with a sound knowledge of the industry and a demonstrated ability in securing opportunities. Excellent communication skills and strong stakeholder management experience are also required.
