Job Description

This is a key position that plays a critical role in ensuring the commercial success of our high-profile major project, Inland Rail.

The role involves managing all aspects of commercial administration for the project, including drafting scopes of work, tender packages, and payment schedules. This will involve working closely with various stakeholders across eight different sites from Wandong to Benalla.

You will also be responsible for conducting prequalification of interested companies, interpreting specifications and drawings, and maintaining accurate cost forecasting and compliance records.

A key focus area will be minimizing subcontractor variation claims and ensuring code compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as you will be working closely with various stakeholders across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drafting scopes of work, tender packages, and payment schedules
  • Conducting prequalification of interested companies
  • Interpreting specifications and drawings
  • Maintaining accurate cost forecasting and compliance records
Requirements:

To be successful in this key role, you must have relevant commercial administration experience in Construction, Quantity Surveying, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or associated disciplines.

A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Economics, Quantity Surveying, Law, Commerce, or equivalent is essential, as is 5-7 years' experience working as a Contracts Administrator or Quantity Surveyor in the construction and engineering industry.

Post graduate qualifications are highly desirable.
