Job Description

The Legal Counsel will be responsible for providing independent, timely, and pragmatic legal advice aligned with commercial considerations, contributing to our mission as a trusted advisor to the business.

They will ideally have industry-relevant experience, including reviewing commercial contracts and knowledge of the risk profile of the infrastructure and defense industries.

Prior in-house experience and expertise in intellectual property, data protection, and general commercial matters such as lease agreements, software agreements, and licenses are highly desirable.

  • General commercial law advice, including advice on business transactions, drafting, advising on, and negotiating commercial contracts and tender submissions.
  • Assisting with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and export controls.
  • Identifying and managing legal risks related to claims, contracts, and operations.
  • Developing internal governance, risk, or compliance-related policies as needed.
  • Providing briefing and education sessions to management and staff on regulatory compliance and legal issues.
  • Liaising with KBR's external legal advisors and other stakeholders as required.
