YOUR ROLE
The Safeguarding Expert will provide crucial support to the HSE Manager in implementing site health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs. This role requires close collaboration with the HSE Manager to develop and implement strategies that align with site objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing the Bendigo site HSE Plan and its associated programs.
- Conducting effective investigations into accidents, incidents, and hazards.
- Assisting with statistical reporting systems and chemical audits.
- Working closely with Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs) and Managers to implement risk assessments and hazard management programs.
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting system updates.
YOUR EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Environment.
- Proven experience in a similar HSE role, interacting with employees and external stakeholders.
- Practical knowledge of production/construction/manufacturing environments.
- Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills.
- Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office products.
