Aged Care Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and resourceful individual to provide care and support for older people living in their own homes. This role will involve assisting with daily tasks, providing personal care, and accompanying clients on outings.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of our clients and their families. As a Support Worker, you will be required to travel to client's homes and communities, using your own car. Your daily tasks may include:

  • Assisting with housekeeping and meal preparation
  • Providing personal care - helping with showering and getting dressed
  • Accompanying clients on shopping trips or to community programs
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in aged or community care, or a passion to begin your career in this field
  • Empathetic and able to work with older people in a caring and respectful manner
  • Flexible and prepared to help meet the changing needs and schedules of our clients
  • Valid Australian driving licence and ongoing access to a reliable vehicle that's comprehensively insured
  • Certificate III/IV in Aged Care or Individual Support or an equivalent qualification
