Job Role Summary

As a senior project assistant, you will be working on various commercial projects to achieve set targets.

About the Position

You will assist the project manager in ensuring safe, coordinated and successful management of services packages on one or more projects.

Educate yourself with industry best practices and ensure all undertakings are executed accordingly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to production of documents and plans that govern project delivery
  • Ensure that plans align with project, business and legislative requirements
  • Review and understand project specifications and drawings, identify and address any ambiguities
  • Review and understand short range programs and how these relate to overall project program
  • Assist in weekly program status as required
  • Collate information relating to extension of time claims and assist the PM in putting together any notices required under the Head Contract
  • Assist the PM in managing trade partners where required
  • Assist the PM in collating information associated with any trade partner variations and review with the CA or Snr CA to assist with determination of position

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field
  • Proven experience in site engineering role, with strong background in construction
  • Exceptional project management skills with ability to work autonomously
  • Proficiency in design software and tools
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Detail-oriented, with eye for design aesthetics and quality
  • Understanding of local building codes, regulations and industry standards
