Mackay Sugar is seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Coordinator to join our team at the Racecourse Mill laboratory. As a key member of the production team, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and effective coordination of sampling, chemistry, and analytical programs that support the operations of the laboratory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate laboratory activities and ensure compliance with quality control standards
- Supervise a team of laboratory staff and provide guidance on laboratory procedures
- Manage process chemical stock control and validate weekly production performance
- Develop and maintain laboratory manuals, policies, and standard operating procedures
Requirements:
- Advanced Certificate in Laboratory Chemistry or Diploma of Applied Science – Laboratory Techniques or equivalent
- 1 year experience as a Control Analyst and knowledge of cane payment methods
