Chef Manager Opportunity

Catholic Healthcare is seeking a skilled and experienced Chef Manager to join our team at Brigidine House in Randwick. As a member of our Leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the smooth operation of the home's commercial kitchen and dining service, ensuring that our residents enjoy a variety of fresh, nutritious meals on a daily basis.

About the Role:
  • Prepare and cook fresh and nutritious meals for residents in line with their dietary needs
  • Manage all resources within the kitchen, including equipment and food supplies, within your approved budget
  • Maintain a hygienically clean kitchen that is fully compliant with the Aged Care quality standards
Requirements:
  • A heart and passion for providing high-quality care to the elderly
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Experience leading a team
  • Certificate IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery)
  • Basic Food Safety Practices Certificate
  • Good understanding of food safety practices, kitchen cleanliness, and hygiene
  • Understanding of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of workplace health and safety
  • An understanding of modified diets
  • Ability to work independently and part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Able to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families
  • NDIS and Police check clearance or willingness to obtain
