About the Role

This is a 12-month fixed term contract opportunity for a highly skilled Financial Regulatory Compliance Expert to join our team. As an integral member of our organization, you will be responsible for investigating risk events raised by ANZ Australia Retail and Commercial divisions, assessing circumstances and impacts thoroughly, and determining whether they are reportable to ASIC.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Business Unit SMEs, Legal, Compliance, and other stakeholders, to gather necessary facts and apply relevant obligations accurately. Your strong critical thinking, effective communication skills, and ability to navigate complex regulatory issues will be crucial in ensuring that the organization consistently meets its regulatory obligations and upholds high standards of risk management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate risk events raised by ANZ Australia Retail and Commercial divisions, assessing circumstances and impacts thoroughly.
  • Determine whether risk events are reportable to ASIC, making clear decisions and providing detailed rationale for each assessment.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather necessary facts and apply relevant obligations accurately.
  • Utilize the NFR system to document investigation outcomes and reportability conclusions.
