About the Role

Berry Street is a leading provider of social services in Victoria, and we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Violence Specialist to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children, young people, and families affected by family violence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop safety plans for victim/survivors and their children.
  • Engage with victim/survivors and their children to provide support and connect them with relevant services.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and services to ensure a coordinated response to family violence.
  • Provide education and training to staff and the community on family violence and its impact.
Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor degree in Social Work or a related field.
  • Experience working with victim/survivors and their children who have experienced family violence.
  • High level of understanding of the gendered nature of family violence.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
