
Parts Coordinator

The Parts Advisor position involves receiving deliveries, recording and storing parts in the stockroom according to established systems. Responsibilities include locating and labeling parts, maintaining inventory of stock, and reporting any shortages to the parts supervisor.
A key aspect of this role is the ability to identify different parts using catalogues and systems, as well as work with part numbers accurately. Effective communication skills are essential for interacting with people inside and outside the organization.
The ideal candidate will have a driving license, be proactive, enthusiastic, and approachable. They should also possess accuracy and attention to detail.
This opportunity requires flexible and positive individuals who can work well in changing circumstances/priorities.
Key Responsibilities- Receive and record deliveries, storing parts in the stockroom according to established protocols.
- Locate and label parts, maintaining accurate inventory levels and reporting shortages to the parts supervisor.
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Document and supervise the condition of returned parts, including old unit cores, and report damaged or unsuitable items to the Parts Supervisor.
- Pack and label all parts and returns correctly, alongside relevant documentation and paperwork.
- Discuss part features and uses with customers, promoting and selling parts effectively.
- Compile accurate parts from job cards for repairs in the workshop.
- Share competitor information with the Parts Supervisor.
- Collaborate with the Parts Supervisor to achieve maximum competency level.
- Driving License required.
- Able to identify different parts using catalogues and systems.
- Numerical ability to work with part numbers accurately.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Selling/influencing others to purchase additional parts.
- Documenting/recording information.
- IT literacy to use DMS and associated software/systems.
- Proactive, enthusiastic, and approachable individual.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Flexible and positive attitude towards changing priorities.
