Maintenance Fitter Job

As a skilled Maintenance Fitter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production environment. With your trade qualification and experience in preventative maintenance, breakdown maintenance, and installations, you will add significant value to our team.

We are looking for a proactive individual who is passionate about problem-solving and continuous improvement. If you have a strong background in pneumatics, pumps, valves, coders, and high-speed packaging equipment, we want to hear from you.

Your analytical mind and methodical approach will enable you to identify and resolve issues efficiently, minimizing downtime and improving overall productivity. Your excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of an efficient team will also be key to your success in this role.

The successful candidate will have a relevant trade qualification as a mechanical fitter, with previous experience in the food industry or FMCG being highly regarded. You will possess excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills, as well as a strong focus on quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responding to breakdowns in a timely manner to minimize downtime
  • Investigating failures and making recommendations to reduce risk and improve systems and processes
  • Preventative maintenance
  • Continuous Improvement for improved reliability and operational equipment efficiencies
Requirements:
  • Relevant trade qualification as a mechanical fitter
  • Experience in the food industry or FMCG would be highly regarded
  • Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong focus on quality and safety
