Australian aviation is experiencing an unprecedented growth phase, with a significant increase in demand for inflight catering services. As a Storesperson at dnata catering, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and efficient acceptance of goods and stores destined for use in the catering area.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that goods required by the catering team are available on time and in the required quantities, thereby maintaining a seamless supply chain process.

  • Pack delivered items to acceptable hygiene and other specifications, adhering to strict quality control standards.

  • Manage the stock in the store effectively, ensuring space is available for incoming goods as required, and implementing strategies for optimal inventory management.

  • Maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, including HACCP, QSAI, and WHS regulations, to ensure a safe working environment.

  • Anticipate potential problems and take proactive measures to eliminate or manage their impact on the supply chain process.

  • Built relationships with suppliers and stakeholders based on clear KPIs and effective review mechanisms to drive ongoing process improvement.

Requirements:

  • Must hold a forklift license with experience, high reach license preferred, to safely operate equipment and manage warehouse operations.

  • Good knowledge of basic HACCP/Food Safety and QSAI requirements, with a focus on maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment.

  • Basic understanding of Halal policies and procedures to ensure adherence to industry standards.

  • Good knowledge of WHS principles to maintain a safe working environment and prevent workplace accidents.

  • Good knowledge of Storehouse and procedures, including inventory management systems and software.

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and Word, to prepare reports and communicate with stakeholders.

  • Excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent product knowledge to understand customer needs and provide solutions to improve supply chain efficiency.

  • Availability to work 38 hours/week in a full-time permanent position, with flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.
