Join Our Team as a Community Worker

Catholic Healthcare is seeking passionate and caring individuals to make a difference in the lives of our Aged Care clients by assisting them to live at home independently for as long as possible.

About the Role

We are looking for individuals who are comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people, have good communication skills, and are reliable team players. As a Community Worker, you will be travelling around your local areas and surrounding suburbs, providing general household tasks, transport to appointments and shopping, meal preparation, social support or respite for family/carers, and personal care including assistance with showering and dressing (if qualified/fully trained).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care to elderly clients in their own homes
  • Assist with general household tasks, including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
  • Transport clients to appointments and shopping
  • Provide social support or respite for family/carers
  • Assist with personal care, including showering and dressing (if qualified/fully trained)
Requirements
  • A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high-quality care to the elderly
  • Comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people
  • Good communication skills
  • A reliable team player
  • Understanding of workplace health and safety
  • An Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable insured motor vehicle (essential)
  • Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent (not essential as you can complete this through our traineeship program)
  • Willingness to apply for a Police Check
