The Director, Strategy and Coordination role is a critical position within our client's organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing strategic insights and operational support to the Program Manager.
  • Ensuring alignment between program objectives, priorities, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Leading coordination to maintain program momentum, address roadblocks, and manage competing priorities.
  • Overseeing program governance structures, including preparation for steering committees, executive briefings, and reporting.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Manage program-level risks and issues, ensuring effective escalation and resolution.
  • Drive continuous improvement in program processes, reporting, and decision-making frameworks.
  • Lead high-level engagement with government agencies, industry bodies, and other key stakeholders.
  • Develop and oversee communication strategies to ensure clear and consistent messaging across the program.
  • Represent the Program Manager in meetings and forums as required.
  • Collaborate with the PMO to ensure program milestones, budgets, and resources are effectively managed.
  • Support executive-level recruitment, workforce planning, and capability development.
  • Presentation of technical information to different audiences to facilitate decision making and meet organisational objectives.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in delivering large, complex programs, policy implementation, or public administration.
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills in a complex environment.
  • Experience in risk management, governance, and decision support at an executive level.
  • Highly developed strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with senior executives and external stakeholders.
