We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team at a small family-owned business established in 1992. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating an Electric Crown High Reach forklift to pick ingredients, including both full pallets and partial products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate an Electric Crown High Reach forklift to pick ingredients
  • Handle bags up to 25kg, ensuring ingredients are picked in the reverse order needed for mixing
  • Split your time between forklift operation (50%) and manual handling (50%)
  • Mix and blend raw dry goods to create a variety of products
  • Consistently lift up to 10kg, with occasional lifts up to 25kg
  • Follow recipe cards to ensure accurate bagging, weighing, and labelling of products

Requirements:

  • 6 months of previously food production or processing experience
  • A valid forklift ticket with a minimum 6+ months experience
  • Previous Manual Pick slip experience
  • Machine ops capabilities - weighing, batching, mixing will be highly regarded
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment
  • Physical fit for manual handling tasks
  • Adhere to HACCP regulations and demonstrate understanding of them
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances
  • Basic housekeeping tasks, including clean ups between mixes
  • Able to work in a team environment
