Job Title: Construction Planner

We are seeking an experienced Construction Planner to join our team for a mine project in Central Queensland. This is a 6-month contract position with the potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Expand an existing high-level Microsoft Project Gantt Chart into a detailed, trades-level project delivery schedule.
  • Build and monitor a detailed, itemised schedule of trades and equipment with resourcing in collaboration with project team managers.
  • Provide daily and weekly updates and reports on the schedule's progress.
  • Present the Gantt chart and performance KPIs to the project team and executives.
About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to work with a leading resources company and a newly established engineering firm. You will be responsible for managing and coordinating the project schedule, covering key activities such as engineering finalisation, procurement, transport logistics, site construction, commissioning, operational readiness and operations ramp-up activities.

As a Construction Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Requirements:
  • Experience in construction planning and scheduling.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Project and Gantt charts.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
