Water Resources Hydrologist

The importance of water to the health of our world cannot be overstated. As floods, droughts, and storms increase in frequency and intensity, the water industry must build resiliency and lead from the front.

We are seeking an engineering professional with skills in stormwater, hydrology, and flood modelling and a passion for water resources to join our team and help deliver exciting projects.

• A broad range of projects including infrastructure development, flood risk assessments, stormwater, and waterway management.
• Conducting hydrology, hydraulic modelling, flood modelling, and mapping to inform planning studies through to detailed design of new infrastructure.
• Leading hydrological and hydraulic modelling and analysis to guide project delivery and mentoring other team members.
• Delivering solutions, proposals, and technical reporting to meet client needs.
• Building strong relationships with clients, business partners, and stakeholders throughout project delivery.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or similar field of study.
• 7-15 years of experience in the water industry.
• Experience with using hydrology and hydraulic modelling software GIS, TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, or MUSIC.
• A good understanding of industry standards such as AR&R.
• Experience in preparing proposals and delivering successful projects.
• The ability to lead and/or work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team across the project lifecycle.
• Strong relationship-building skills and project management expertise in water resources projects.
