Research Chemist

Fuse Recruitment is partnering with a national organisation in the complementary medicine space to source a R&D Chemist.
Based in the Northern Beaches, this opportunity offers a unique chance to work with an industry leader.

You will be working closely with the head of R&D to ensure the introduction of new products flows smoothly into the factory. Your experience working in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment will be essential in this role.

• Liaise with clients and suppliers regarding product development projects
• Formulate products according to company quality and efficacy expectations
• Produce bench samples in the laboratory following GLP
• Conduct general product and stress testing for formulation robustness and efficacy claims compliance
• Write reports for justifications and supporting evidence for new product development projects
• Manage research-based projects to ensure they meet their required timelines
• Communicate project status to Business Managers and Project Managers
• Maintain Master Formulas for all products manufactured within the company
• Collate documentation data from raw material suppliers for new materials
• Provide technical information to project managers, business managers, and other staff

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• 3+ years of experience in a similar role
• Relevant tertiary qualifications
• A solid foundation in chemistry, science, or chemical engineering
• Excellent lab practices, regulatory compliance, and record keeping
• In-depth knowledge of TGA and GMP regulations
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to be hands-on when required
