About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Civil Construction Trainer to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for developing, improving, and delivering civil construction units for both Diploma and Advanced Diploma programs.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring that these units meet the VET Quality and Higher Education Standards Frameworks. Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver High-Quality Training: Provide engaging and effective instruction based on curriculum requirements and maintain high standards of teaching.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Record student attendance and progress accurately, adhering to College policies and procedures.
  • Ensure Effective Learning: Monitor classroom learning outcomes, provide feedback, and support students' educational development.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with industry standards and maintain up-to-date qualifications, actively participating in professional development opportunities.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Adhere to the Code of Conduct, report incidents, manage OH&S matters, and contribute to meetings and other relevant activities.

About You

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment Education.
  • Bachelor in the civil/construction field as a minimum qualification.
  • Civil construction industry background of at least 2 years.
  • Understanding and supportive of students' diverse needs and learning paces.
  • Experience working with international students in the delivery and assessment of vocational education and training.
  • Proficient in the use of learning management systems (Moodle) and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Working with Children Check; If you are successfully hired for this role, you must obtain a check and you will be reimbursed.
