Fitter/Armourer

Ventia is seeking a skilled and experienced Fitter/Armourer to join our Defence Admin Support Team on a permanent full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repairs, and overhauls of vehicles, plant, and Defence land domain equipment.
- Undertake major overhauls and authorised modifications to equipment, utilising trade qualifications, skills, and experience.
- Ensure technical procedures, inspections, and test plans are performed in accordance with QA requirements.
- Flexibility to meet the demands of working in a small team, including after-hours work and call-outs.
- Undertake other tasks as instructed by your supervisor, which may be incidental and peripheral to your trade.
- Perform manual tasks associated with maintenance and construction, including safe working duties.
- Maintain maintenance records associated with equipment servicing, repairs, and modifications.
- Undertake plant audits and inspections, complete timesheets, and record hours worked and associated information.
Requirements:
- Possess a recognised Trade Certificate III of Proficiency (Fitter & Turner).
- Successful completion of the Army Logistics Training Centre (ALTC) Basic Fitter Armament Maintenance Techniques course or equivalent.
- Successful completion of the ALTC Field Artillery Maintenance Course or the ASLAV Phase 3 Turret/Armament Maintenance Course (highly desirable).
