About the Role

We are seeking passionate and highly skilled support workers to provide active support to people with disabilities in Cairns. As a part-time or casual employee, you will work across a 24/7 roster, including active nights, to support individuals with complex health care needs, positive behavior support, medication administration, and personal care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement person-centered support and positive behavior support plans to facilitate client goal achievement.
  • Develop and maintain thorough record keeping to ensure accurate documentation.
  • Build positive relationships with clients, families, and colleagues to advocate for client choice and control.
Requirements
  • Certificate III Individual Support or equivalent qualification.
  • Ability to work within a positive behavior support framework and approved restrictive practices.
  • Complex health care support experience, including medication administration.
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
