Employment Guidance Specialist

This is a hands-on role that requires a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will be supporting participants in various locations including Murarrie, South Brisbane, and the Gold Coast.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver one-on-one and group training sessions to build job readiness
  • Identify and address practical barriers such as transportation, documentation, and confidence for participants
  • Develop and maintain relationships with referral partners and support services
  • Actively engage with employers across different industries to find suitable placements
  • Ensure alignment between employer needs and participant capacity, and provide ongoing support throughout the placement
  • Provide post-placement mentoring, regular check-ins, and issue resolution
  • Monitor outcomes and contribute to reporting and program development

The ideal candidate will have strong time management skills, initiative, and follow-through. You must also be reliable, organized, and outcome-oriented, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.

  • Balance empathy with accountability when working with diverse individuals
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with both participants and employers
  • Take ownership of responsibilities and drive desired outcomes
  • Spot opportunities and pursue them effectively

A valid driver's license and willingness to travel are essential for this role. A Working with Children Check and recent police check will also be required.
