Cochlear Limited, the global market leader in implantable hearing solutions, is seeking a seasoned Senior Information Security Consultant to lead our security strategy. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in IT, including 5+ years in senior information security roles.
Job Overview
We are offering an estimated salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on location and experience. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing strategic information security leadership to guide business initiatives and solve complex challenges effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert guidance on national and international standards and best practices to ensure the protection of our information assets.
- Lead complex projects to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data, utilising your expertise in risk management, enterprise architecture, and security frameworks.
- Assess technology implementations for compliance with Cochlear and industry standards, leveraging your knowledge of ISO 27000, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ITIL, and privacy principles.
- Develop solution architecture documentation and secure stakeholder approval, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned with our security vision.
- Perform risk assessments and implement cost-effective mitigation strategies to protect our organisation from potential threats.
- Oversee vulnerability assessments and manage penetration testing engagements to identify areas for improvement.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- CISSP certification.
- Strong background in risk management, enterprise architecture, and security frameworks.
- Familiarity with VMware, Microsoft, UNIX, Linux OS, and cloud platforms.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging and influencing stakeholders.
- Demonstrated strategic and operational leadership with effective implementation skills.
