About the Job

This role involves providing day-to-day guidance and encouragement to residents through daily routines, shared meals, household tasks, and structured therapeutic activities. You will also supervise medication self-administration, assist with basic cooking and cleaning duties, conduct routine testing, and respond calmly and appropriately to any crises that may arise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support and guidance to residents through daily routines and activities

  • Participate in a multidisciplinary team to provide a safe and supportive environment for residents
Requirements
  • Certificate IV in AOD, Mental Health, Community Services, or relevant field
  • Able to work night shifts as part of a rotating roster
  • Demonstrated capacity to provide culturally appropriate, respectful support to clients from a diverse background
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team
  • Resilience and ability to work with people who experience dynamic or changing emotional states
