We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Cummins Inc. in Mount Isa, Queensland.

About the Role:

  • Deliver exceptional service to our customers across automotive, mining, and power generation sectors in the Mount Isa region.
  • Work in our busy workshop, performing breakdown and preventative tasks on an on-call roster.
  • Inspect and replace components as required, with a focus on engine rebuilding and reconditioning.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and legislation.
  • Complete documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, and quality documents.

Requirements:

  • A Light/Heavy Diesel trade qualification is essential.
  • Experience as a Mechanic in the service and maintenance of light/heavy diesel products, mining equipment, and power generation on engines and similar applications.
  • Knowledge and experience of working on Cummins products are highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits:

Attractive hourly rate commensurate with experience: $60-$80 per hour (estimated salary). The role also comes with a $5,000 sign-on bonus, overtime penalties, superannuation, remote allowance, rent assistance, tool allowance, and on-call penalties. Relocation assistance is available within Australia, and participation in an annual variable compensation program.
