Accounts Clerk Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Accounts Clerk to support our finance team in delivering exceptional financial services. As an accounts clerk, you will play a vital role in supporting accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other duties with precision and efficiency.

  • Assist with the coding of invoices using DocMx software.
  • Count and reconcile cash received from cashiers on a daily basis.
  • Arrange for monthly banking collections.
  • Update cashier spreadsheets regularly.
  • Reconcile petty cash and disburse as needed.
  • Support other finance duties, such as cash/float counts, stock takes, filing, and reconciliations.
  • Check internal charges against micros dockets and forms.
  • Update credit card reconciliation spreadsheets.
  • Verify final invoices against opera and BEO records.
Requirements and Skills
  • Diploma/Certificate in Finance & Economics or equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Office and accounting software.
  • Experience in accounts payable functions, including maintaining debtors ledgers.
  • Knowledge of GST and matching financial transactions to bank statements.
  • Minimum two years of relevant experience.
  • Hotel experience is preferred but not essential.
