The role we are currently seeking requires a Mechanical Fitter with experience in the Oil & Gas industry. The successful candidate will be based at our facility in Lytton, QLD, with potential project travel requirements.

This position involves working Monday to Friday, with essential overtime required.

You will work closely with our team to deliver high-quality outcomes, ensuring the safety of yourself and others.

Main Responsibilities:
  • 12 months' experience in shutdowns and preventative maintenance projects within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Prior refinery experience is advantageous.
  • Experience in vessel and heat exchanger inspections and repairs.
  • Columns, drums, and reactors experience is desirable.
  • Petro Chemical experience will be highly regarded.
  • Hy-Torque and Tensioning experience will be highly regarded.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and P&ID's.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong commitment to Work Health and Safety.
  • Ability to work within a team environment while capable of working unsupervised.
Key Requirements:
  • Possess formal Trade Qualifications as a Mechanical Fitter & Turner or an equivalent recognised trade certificate.
  • Working at Heights (obtained in the last 2 years).
  • Confined Space Entry (obtained in the last 2 years).
  • Breathing Apparatus (BA), desirable.
  • Gas Test Atmosphere (GTA), desirable.
  • Current Driver's License.
  • Flange Management Training (advantageous).
  • Nationally recognised Construction Card (White or Blue Card).
  • Full Australian work rights.
