
Mental Health Support Specialist

As a Mental Health Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing assistance to individuals with disabilities in various tasks and activities. This may include personal care, meal preparation, housekeeping, and accompanying clients to appointments or outings. Your role will be crucial in helping our clients live independently and improve their quality of life.
To excel in this role, you should have a compassionate and caring nature, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team. Experience in the disability support sector is preferred but not required - we are more interested in finding someone who is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with daily living tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, and housekeeping.
- Accompany clients to appointments or outings as needed.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years experience working with mental health clients.
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or willingness to obtain.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Ability to pass a national police check.
- Australia permanent resident, no visa sponsorship available.
We offer:
- Casual hours with flexible scheduling.
- $38.00 - $44.00 per hour pay rate.

Please note that we require staff to work on both the North and South sides of Brisbane.
This position involves shift work, including afternoons, days, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
