Role Description

We are experts in trading various financial products and asset classes, with a focus on options trading. We facilitate millions of transactions daily, providing liquidity and competitive prices for buyers and sellers through our core disciplines: Trading, Technology, and Quant Research.

As a Trading Support Team Lead, you will oversee and supervise the trading support analysts team.

You will be hands-on while providing leadership to the team, ensuring the day-to-day running of the trading desks for Susquehanna involves position reconciliations, timely trade capture, accurate positions, and external broker reconciliations. The role requires profit and loss estimates for the day's activity.

The successful candidate must understand financial instruments, particularly equities, futures, and equity derivatives, as they will work closely with experienced traders in the financial sector. Building strong relationships with traders is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Outcome-focused, self-driven, with forward planning and risk anticipation/maintenance capabilities.
  2. Lead and supervise the existing team using a collaborative and consultative approach to develop the team's needs and goals.
  3. Strong ability to motivate people, being a trusted team player.
  4. Compile and reconcile trades, transactions, and positions.
  5. Prepare and submit delivery instructions for proprietary trading.
  6. Assist in maintaining position, P&L, and information exchange.
  7. Maintain and manage operational processes according to regulatory frameworks for exchange compliance.
  8. Use algorithmic trading tools under instruction from traders.
  9. Update and manage all exchange trading systems, proprietary trading applications, and Excel spreadsheets.
  10. Act as liaison between desk traders and other dealers, traders, or brokers, and internal departments.
  11. Take ownership of desk projects and initiatives.
Requirements
  1. 7+ years' experience in the financial markets arena.
  2. Experience leading a team and maintaining a hands-on role.
  3. Operational knowledge of Asian Financial markets.
  4. In-depth knowledge of handling trade flow through to settlement.
  5. Thorough understanding of equity and equity derivative products.
  6. Proficiency in Bloomberg and Excel.
  7. Ability to build strong and positive relationships internally and with Broker contacts.
  8. Ability to promote new ideas and solutions.
  9. Confidence to escalate issues and drive proactive changes.
  10. Works well with an established team and can build strong relationships with team members.
  11. Maintaining strong organisational skills and meticulous record-keeping, fostering efficiency and accuracy in completing tasks and following process.
  12. Ability to prioritise based on materiality and risk considerations.
  13. Ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems.
  14. Analytical mindset when tackling issues.
  15. Detail-oriented; ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-moving, highly intellectual environment.
  16. Self-starter, quick learner, and resourceful in solving problems.
  17. Reliable and flexible team player with a positive demeanour.
  18. Ability to move throughout the trading floor as needed.
