About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Food Safety & Audit Manager at The Star Brisbane.

As a key member of the culinary leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest possible quality assurance and food safety standards are met.

You will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of our food safety plans, conducting regular audits, and maintaining accurate records and reports.

In this role, you will work closely with our food and beverage teams to ensure compliance with Australian food safety standards and regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Adhering to our food safety plans and ensuring the food and beverage offering is handled, stored, and prepared according to Australian Food Safety standards.
  2. Recording and maintaining accurate records, reports, and updating systems for HACCP requirements.
  3. Arranging appropriate training for all F&B staff and maintaining records for compliance with local, state, and all other government requirements.
  4. Conducting investigations relating to food incidents and conducting external testing as well as strategies corrective actions as per food authority guidelines.
  5. Overseeing the management of the stock control systems, ensuring day dots are used, use by dates and time stamps are monitored.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  1. Cert IV in Training and Assessment.
  2. Experience in a food production environment.
  3. Demonstrated experience with high level compliance and auditing processes.
