Job Summary:

Sun Transport is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Technician to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in tackling intricate technical issues, devising innovative solutions, and prioritizing customer satisfaction above all else.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a profound mastery of diverse automotive repair and maintenance fields, alongside a penchant for seamless collaboration within our esteemed and nurturing work culture. We are a leading transportation company, and this role will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair or replace broken, worn, or dysfunctional parts such as brake pads, wheel bearings, and test and reassemble components.
  • Perform basic care and maintenance, including changing oil, giving tune-ups, checking fluid levels, and rotating tires.
  • Test and repair electrical systems such as lighting, instrumentation, ignition, and electronic fuel injection.
  • Deal with customers on a day-to-day basis and perform duties in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Diagnose, service, and repair a variety of different brands of vehicles in compliance with manufacturer's guidelines and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Re-line and adjust brakes and perform wheel alignments.
  • Test and re-adjust to ensure repairs and maintenance are effective using testing equipment prior to handover to the client.
  • Inspect mechanisms of engine, transmissions, steering, or other components including dismantling and reassembling of engine parts.
  • Provide accurate estimates of cost, time, effort for a repair or maintenance job.
  • Maintain equipment and tools in good condition.
  • Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components such as transmissions, suspensions, steering, brakes, etc. to diagnose issues accurately.

Requirements:

  • A minimum qualification of Certificate III or Certificate IV is required.
  • 2 years of work experience in a similar role is required.
  • Driven and enthusiastic individual with strong determination.
  • Work under minimum supervision.
  • Work under pressure.

What We Offer:

Competitive salary of $70,000 - $80,000 annually plus superannuation.
