Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil (Water) Engineer to join our Water Resources Team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your academic and professional knowledge to real-world projects, working with Tier 1 energy and resource clients.

The ideal candidate will have experience in hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with ARR guidelines and GIS software is also required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake hydraulic, hydrology and water balance modelling with guidance from senior engineers.
  • Support the development of Consequence Category assessments including dam break modelling.
  • Assist in surface water management studies and investigations from concept through to detailed design.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, or a related field of study.
  • Advanced degree in a related field of study (preferred but not essential).
  • Eligibility for membership with Engineers Australia, with the ability to obtain RPEQ/NER once adequately qualified.
  • Experience in hydrologic and hydraulic modelling (e.g. TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, RORB, WBNM, Flow-2D), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Competent in the use of GIS.
  • Familiarity with ARR guidelines.
