About the Role

The Coordinator will be responsible for leading and managing various aspects of the school, including overseeing teaching and learning, guiding curriculum implementation, supporting staff development, and managing student behavior and relief staff.

This is a key leadership role that requires a strong understanding of education principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the implementation of CECG's Catalyst Program and High Impact Teaching Practices in the school.
  • Oversee the development of a dynamic curriculum in line with national and state requirements.
  • Work with staff to incorporate new developments in teaching and learning.
  • Ensure courses cater for a range of individual needs and learning styles.
  • Develop an individual professional learning plan and participate in appropriate professional development activities.
  • Develop effective and appropriate relationships with and between members of the community.
  • Provide prompt and timely follow-up with parents, students, and other staff on issues that emerge for each student.
  • Work with and support classroom teachers to respond appropriately to individual circumstances and situations.
  • Manage departmental processes, including staff and student allocations, excursions, and the purchase of resources.
  • Ensure effective administrative processes in the department.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching.
  • Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) and/or Working with Children's Check (WWCC) registrations.
  • Teaching Quality Institute (TQI) registration and/or NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) accreditation.
Selection Criteria
  1. A comprehensive understanding of Catalyst initiatives and High Impact Teaching Practices.
  2. A thorough knowledge of the Australian Curriculum.
  3. Demonstrated capability to coordinate a teaching team effectively.
  4. Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication skills.
  5. The ability to exercise sound judgment.

  • You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be eligible to apply for this position.
