Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Creative Communications Expert to join our close-knit Media and Communications team. In this exciting opportunity, you will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to produce engaging content and innovative communication through earned media, thought leadership, stakeholder, and digital communications.

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing day-to-day media across various platforms for the Firm's practice groups, identifying opportunities, and creating compelling content for internal and external channels.
  • Utilizing new media tools and platforms to enhance the Firm's communication efforts and reach diverse audiences.
  • Developing and producing high-quality content for social media, websites, blogs, and newsletters.
  • Designing and implementing creative communication strategies to promote the Slater and Gordon brand, vision, and values internally and externally.
  • Conceptualizing and executing impactful campaigns that resonate with our target audience and drive engagement.

You will collaborate closely with our team to ensure cohesive and consistent messaging across all channels. Interstate travel may be required from time to time.

What We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Journalism, or Public Relations.
  • Proven experience in media and communications, with a strong portfolio of content creation.
  • Proficiency in using new media tools and platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as attention to detail.
  • A creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas.
  • Proven strategic thinking abilities.
  • The capacity to analyze complex issues and break them down.
  • Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate proactively and effectively.
  • Experience in media relations and managing press coverage.
  • The ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including empathy and compassion.
  • The ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to assess and manage risk.
  • The ability to work with staff at all levels of the organization.
What You'll Get

  • A competitive salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • An excellent benefits package, including an extra week of annual leave, 18 weeks paid parental leave, and additional long-service leave.
