About the Role

This is an opportunity for a skilled Boilermaker to join our organization and take on a key role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing general preventative maintenance and fabrication tasks, as well as undertaking preventative inspections and follow-up actions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Fabrication Tasks: To deliver safe and reliable plant operations, undertake preventative maintenance and fabrication tasks as assigned by management.
  • Preventative Inspections: Conduct regular preventative inspections in accordance with maintenance plans and complete follow-up actions as necessary.
  • Confined Space and Heights Activities: Undertake confined space and working at heights activities as required, adhering to established safety protocols and procedures.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of completed work, including maintenance tasks and inspections.
  • Quality and Safety Processes: Comply with quality and safety processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
  • Breakdown Work: Assist with breakdown work as required, working collaboratively with other teams to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Hazard Reporting: Report hazards and incidents in a timely manner, contributing to a safe working environment.
  • Apprentice Training: Mentor and train apprentices in industrial manufacturing or mining practices, promoting knowledge sharing and skills development.

Requirements
  • Trade Qualification: Hold a trade qualification in Welding/Boilermaking, such as Certificate III Engineering Fabrication or equivalent.
  • Forklift and Telehandler Tickets: Possess valid forklift and telehandler tickets, essential for safe and efficient movement of materials within the plant.
  • Elevated Work Platform License: Hold an elevated work platform license, demonstrating your ability to work safely at heights.
  • Driver's License: Possess a current driver's license, enabling you to travel to sites as required.
  • SAP Experience: Having hands-on experience using SAP is beneficial, but not essential.
  • Light to Heavy Fabrication Skills: Demonstrate light to heavy fabrication skills, including welding, cutting, and metalworking.
  • General Fitting Maintenance Skills: Show proficiency in general fitting maintenance skills, including mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
  • Metal Arc Welding: Possess the ability to weld using MMA (Manual Metal Arc), GMAW (Gas Metal Arc), FCAW (Flux Core Arc), Air Arc Gouging, and Oxy Cutting techniques.
