About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to join our team in a brand new premium fine dining steak restaurant in Sydney. This is a pre-opening opportunity for someone who wants to be part of a dynamic and ambitious project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the kitchen, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement menus that showcase high-quality steaks and other premium dishes
  • Ensure exceptional food quality, presentation, and consistency across all services
  • Train and mentor junior chefs to improve skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a fine dining steakhouse or Michelin-starred restaurant
  • Advanced knowledge of cooking techniques, particularly with steak and beef cuts
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with ability to motivate and train a team
  • Familiarity with costing, rostering, and budgeting procedures
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
