Academic Support Professional

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to provide tailored support to students with disabilities in our high school community. Our goal is to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment, ensuring all students have equal access to education.
Main Responsibilities:- Assist classroom teachers in delivering individualized educational programs for students with diverse learning needs
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, facilitating their participation in classroom activities
- Supporting and assisting students who require assistive technology to communicate
- Implement and support behaviour management strategies in line with individual student plans
- Assist with personal care needs, including toileting, mobility and feeding, as required
An ideal candidate will be highly committed to making a meaningful difference in students' lives and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A Certificate III or IV in Education Support or equivalent qualification is highly desired but not mandatory.
Key Qualifications:- Experience working with students with disabilities in an educational setting
- Strong understanding of the needs of students with disabilities and particularly physical impairment, intellectual disabilities, ASD, and ADHD
- Ability to implement individualized learning strategies and behaviour management plans
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or willingness to obtain
